Work Readiness
This course is designed to prepare individuals for employment opportunities. Using Intel Learn Easy Steps resource as a tool, the course content will have an emphasis on developing employment skills. Students will follow a basic introduction to computers, email, internet, file-saving, and resumes and job applications. All job seekers are welcome to attend. We also work on life skills such as role play for interviews and encourage participants to help and learn new skills from one another. We prepare morning tea together and share some fun. Fridays, 10am – 1pm Cost per term: $100/$50 concession
The well being of our job clients is very important to us and it aims to reduce social isolation in the community. Mirko, a regular participant, noted that after attending he ‘felt more comfortable around people, my confidence grew and my self-esteem improved because I was giving back to the community.”
EAL Classes
Our English classes are welcoming and designed for those with basic or intermediate skills in English who would like to improve their reading, writing and speaking. In a small, friendly group with a qualified EAL teacher, students study vocabulary and grammar, as well as listen-ing and written comprehension.
Basic: Wednesdays 9:15am—11:45am
Intermediate: Tuesdays 9:15am—11:45am
Conversation: Thursdays 9:15am—11:45am Cost per 10-week term: $70 full, $40 concession
Cost for 2 classes per 10-week term: $120 full, $70 concession

Computer Training
Increase employability and pathways to further training.
Computer Basics
Gain hands-on experience and confidence with this beginners course designed for peo-ple new to computers. In a small class with a supportive trainer, be introduced to basic computer functions, begin to use Microsoft programs including Word and Excel, and learn how to send emails and navigate the Internet. ACFE funded. Thursdays 9:30am—12pm $125 full/$70 concession
Intermediate Computers
Expand your skills through further explora-tion of Microsoft Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet. Increase your knowledge and confidence for your personal and business needs. ACFE funded. Thursdays 12:30pm—3pm $125 full/$70 concession
